About Alek aka Soyouth aka Enacter :

Alex is interested in the state of trance induced by sonic and visual arts. Under the name Soyouth, he has been performing as a visual artist, DJ and conference lecturer in more than 10 countries, including the world's most renowned psychedelic events such as Boom, Universo Parallelo, Albert Hofmann's b-day Symposium boat party, Goa Gil's Mount Fuji party, Hadra and Sonica festival. Alex is currently producing music under the name Enacter, and cooking an audio-visual live act.

Past & Present:

After discovering the goa trance'n'dance experience, through TIP releases and attending Solstice festival, he bought a pair of CDJs and also started experimenting with production using Fruity Loops. After a festival-filled summer, he and his friends realized how uncareful visuals really altered their dancefloor experience in a negative way ; they decide to give it a try as one of them, Ikar, is already an established VJ in the techno free-party scene. Thus, Teratone Vision VJ collective was born, always trying to deliver lively and psychoactive visions that would fit with and enhance the trance-dance experience. Ever since, Alex has been experimenting the fusion between the visual and audio arts, he became obsessed with time travel and inter-connections between past, present and future.

As a visual artist, you can expect liquidelic, color-exploding & entrancing visuals that are beat-reacting and emotionally in tune, as well as innovative installations, such as video mapping. As a DJ and audio producer, he creates a subtle blend of the freshest beats of the future with the finest hymns from the past, both on the dancefloor and ambient grounds. One can notice his taste for synchrony, through the music-videos he has edited, as well as in its own AV productions and live performances. He recently moved to Canada and he's currently focusing on his music+visual project under the name Enacter.

His vision goes beyond art to encompass a more community-centered view of the world, where sharing skills and caring for others is primordial, because modern artistic gathering can be, to a certain extent, compared to the modern revival of archaic rituals. This is why he is committed to help creating safe spaces for people experiencing difficult experiences, as he volunteered in the Kosmicare project. He is actively promoting artistic diffusion and exchange through multi-disciplinary workshops. Finally, he is encouraging discussion and self-reflection around the topic of new rituals and discussing the modern use of entheogens, through talks and conferences. If psychedelic parties are modern manifestations of a ritual, then what can we learn from the past to integrate those experiences in our life in a positive and constructive manner, for a sustainable future ?
